I plan to buy a month subscription. When I do this, will the clouds that I have created using the free version be available for High quality commercial use downloads or will I have to start all over.
Sure they will be available for HQ downloads and you don't need to start all over.
How many Word Clouds can I create using the free download program?
There is no limit on how many clouds you can create.

Yes, exactly

is that per HQ download (potentially workable), or per-design produced (dealbreaker) or what?
You obtain the commercial license per HQ downloaded image, not per-design.

Shape transparency parameter has not impact on your HQ downloads counter. In other words you can download an image with the background shape, then remove it and download the image again, and it will be counted as 1 download.

Currently we have no intention to set the default back to zero as with 0.05 word cloud art images look prettier.

Please select Noto Sans S Chinese font in the Fonts section. Also you can add your own Chinese font by clicking on the first row in the Fonts section.

angelastanley, If I were you I wouldn't consider purchasing the Unlimited plan for $299.99. Because as I wrote you by email, its better for you to purchase 100 HQ downloads for $99.99, that you can use for 1 year of purchase. Therefore the new pricing introduce no more than 10% increase in your case.

Mrsh1205 and Angie1167, I suggest you to consider purchasing Unlimited pricing plan for 1 year for $299.99, since you spent close amounts buying deprecated Pro plans for past year.

Please try to change the font for a particular word in the Words section. Then re-visualize your word cloud.

The only solution I see is to embed your word cloud on your web page in a bigger size.

Thank you for your feedback. We will take it under advisement and consider it for inclusion in a later version of the software.
