Hi Andrea, Words are placed on a non-white (non-transparent) space. Therefore you need to add a non-white edge to the star image in any image editor and then add the edged image to the shapes list by clicking on the "add image" button. |

The tilde symbol shouldn't be shown in the words table after importing text in any case. Could you please elaborate what exactly text you imported and what exactly you saw in the words section? |

No, it is not related to how many word artworks you created. Could you please try to reload your word artworks page (press F5 in your browser) and try again? |

Could you please elaborate what do you mean saying "retain colors"? Once you changed shape colors, visualized and saved your word artwork it should look the same when you follow its link or embed it on your website. If it is not the same please provide the word art name so I could check. |

It may be a browser issue. Could you please try to download in another browser like Chrome or Firefox? |

Ahh, thanks for letting me know. The fix has been just released. Unfortunately it won't get back the custom shapes for the word artworks you created this morning. But I can manually do it if you provide me the artworks names. |

The "Colors and animations section" was renamed to "style" section in the new version. You can make your word artwork's background transparent in the style section but you cannot change the color of the shape unfortunately. The only option is to find another shape image that is white and manually add it to the shapes section. Then you can set the "shape transparency" slider to 1 to show the white shape at the background. |
