It seems that whichever .png download standard I choose, it comes out at 72 dpi. I require 300dpi. Is there any way of downloading Word Art creations at 300dpi please? |

Did you try to download 32MP PNG format? It should be more than 300dpi. |

It's all a bit odd. The 32mp option sure looks large, but when I take the image into GIMP it says it is over 6000 pixels wide - big enough there, I think, but it does say it is 72dpi. I am beginning to wonder if it is GIMP that is creating the problem? How do I open the image elsewhere to find if it is 72dpi or 300dpi? Just right-clicking on Properties doesn't seem to tell me. Thanks |

DPI means dots per inch, therefore the exact DPI amount depends on what paper size in inches you are going to print on. For example if you print on A4 it will be 570 DPI, for A3 it will be 400DPI. What paper / medium size are you going to print on? |

The answer to this is 32cm x 50cm. I think I have it sorted now, it is how it appears in GIMP as I suspected. I was getting confused between print size tool and scale image tool. Thanks so much. |
