Color function different on image load?

Perhaps this has been discussed but I don't see it so I'll give it a go.

Before when uploading my own image if there were colors in it the words took on those colors which was perfect for me. Now, unless I'm missing the way to do it the words only appear in a solid color in the correct shape.

For example, In the word cloud I created on the old system I uploaded the shape of a Phoenix that had yellow, red, orange, etc. colors in the tail in a gradient with the remainder of the Phoenix in blues. The words automatically took on those colors. Now this does not happen, they are all one color and not even any of the colors of the shape.

Have I explained this ok? What do I do to get this function back if anything?

Could you please check whether "Use shape colors" checkbox is selected or not? It should be selected to get words painted with shape colors.

Odd, it works now and I did not even have a chance to ck the ck you mentioned.
