Font

I want to import my own shape to use - the "shape" will be a word. Can anyone who has done this before please advise which Font they are using to create their shape that then works successfully to make a good word cloud. Thanks

Hi Rojomateus, I think any bold font will work. Write your word in black on white background and save the image in PNG or JPEG format. Then upload it to your word cloud shapes by clicking on the first tile in the "All" category in the "Shapes" section.

Hi Alex - as noted on my last post & discussion with you - I have done this now numerous times but it has not been working for me - all I end up with is very skinny letters with a couple of words in each "leg" of the word. That is why I was trying to find out what specific font others had used as saying "any bold font" has not worked for me. Other examples of words in the gallery (or numbers) are broader than what I seem to be able to upload and I would just like something similar - becoming extremely frustrated by this! I do not have design skills and would really appreciate specific help if there is a particular editor etc that will assist me

Maybe I am asking the wrong question - mgregory0923 has in the gallery a 2016 - I would like a number of words that will end up like this - however see mine entitled CES IV which is skinny and you cannot see the words? Maybe it is not designed to be able to cope with multiple words? Also even though I have the words set for random colour there is no colour in my image - If I am importing in black will it not then just be black?

Alex - I think I am nearly sorted!! - please see my reverse rainbow attempt - can you tell me if I use Keep as is (Don't repeat words) then are all the words (in my case names) used to make up the image? thanks

If you use "Keep as is (don't repeat words)" it actually means that the words won't be repeated. Most likely all your words will be used but if you inputted a lot of words (>500) some of them may be cut off because of a lack of the space in your word cloud.
