Word cloud links within a website

Hi Alex,

I've made my first word cloud successfully on Tagul.com :) I used the words from a coffee-related demo website I created. Link: http://proba.yozz.hu/ --> please see the bottom of the sidebar on the right side.
It looks just fine and the animations work well until... I click on any word from the cloud, it gives a zazzle.com search as a result.
Is it possible that the cloud I created could work within the website as a normal tag cloud? (e.g. click on the most weighted word 'CHOCOLATE' and shows the posts and articles where the word CHOCOLATE was used instead of zazzle Chocolate gifts?)
Thanks in advance,

Zoltan

P.S.: I'm not a programmer just a beginner webdesigner so API, xml and php-programming are unknown issues for me...

Hi Zoltan,

you need to change the links to point to your site instead of Tagul default.

In order to do this you need to edit “Tags’ links pattern” in “Tags source” tab to point to your site and then click Visualize.

In your case the pattern will be http://proba.yozz.hu/?s=$tag

Please let me know if you don't manage to change the links.

Best regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I've managed this issue successfully based on your directions, it's really been a great support from your side. Although the cloud need to be re-edit after visualizing again, but that's far better than have the zazzle.com links :)

Thank you once again, this is the coolest site of word clouds!

Best regards,
Zoltan

I have the same problem and I 've tried the solution but it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? My cloud is http://tagul.com/preview?id=249229@1&name=blog
Tks for helpping me!

You need to Visualize your cloud to re-load your tags list with updated URL. When clicking Visualize please make sure you keep active URL or Text tab depending on what is your tags source.

That's because your website doesn't recognize search query '/?s=$tag'. How do you make search on your site?

You don't need to have search on your website to place Tagul cloud. But you need to have search if you wish words (inside your cloud) to point to search on your site. Alternatively you can add URLs manually (in Words section ) for each word to point to a specific page on your site.

You cannot add multiply URLs for one word. Why would you need it? What URL should be used when word is clicked if multiply URLs are used?

It would be cool to create a searchable tag cloud. For example, you search for a word and it shows on the cloud and links you to the page! :-)
