How to link back to original story from tags?

Hi- I love this idea. Hoping for more fonts and complete shape customization, but until then... I don't get the "tag links pattern" - is there a way to make these tags link back to the source page they come from? I know it defaults to the google search, but what would I change it to for it to link back to its source?

Thanks!

I don't completely understand what you mean under "link back to its source". But I am going to explain how tags link pattern works by example. Let's say you have a blog http://example.com/ and if you want to search for a word "tagul" you use URL http://example.com/search/tagul. So your "tags links pattern" is "http://example.com/search/$tag" where "$tag" is replaced by actual tag's text for each tag in your cloud.

Hope it helps.

P.S. More fonts are coming soon!
P.S. I will appreciate if you give more details on "complete shape customization". What is missing there?

Alex,
I am having a similar problem with having the tag link back to my page rather than Google. My URL is www.fdtalk.org/forum and I added the /search/$tag as you instructed, but the clicking the tags still forwards to a Google search page. Any way you might be able to guess where I goofed?

Thanks!

IFDAonline,

It should be working fine, could you please check once again:

1) Have you fetched your tags again after changing the links pattern?
2) What url you see on the tags tab?

Hi Alex, I really like Tagul, but like these guys I'd like to have the tags link back to places within my own site, rather than skipping out to do a Google search.

Eg. the word 'people' occurs lots of times on my site, so when someone clicks on it, it suggests they want to see posts in my site (not sites elsewhere) that refer to 'people'. So it'd be nice, when they click on 'people', if they could see a historical list of posts within my site when I mention 'people'.

Thanks

It is possible to achieve by using API mode xml and assigning each tag a custom link. I am planning to simplify this process by allowing users to edit tags grid.
