Going from iFrame to full window in Google sites

When a cloud is added to googlesites, it becomes a gadget. When you click on a link in the gadget it opens the link page *within* the gadget box. Is it possible to have it go to the url within the current tab. (i.e. not open a new tab, change the current webpage to the linked page)

Not sure it is possible. I suggest you choosing "open links in new window" option and accept that links will be open in new tab.

I am trying to add the tagul cloud to my google site. Everything else work except the animation. Can you guide me how did you embed the tagul cloud in you website.
