Hi, that's because of the "color emphasis" option in the Style section. Please set it to zero to disable the color transparency for small words.

Yes, you can change the font for selected words using the Bulk button at the top of the Words section.

You can set the default font in the fonts section. You can also select multiple fonts using CTRL + CLICK or SHIFT + CLICK.
