Uploaded Image HELP Newbie

i recently uploaded a blank image but when i put text in it seems to just cover the outline of the image not the inside can anyone help how to insert text inside image.

Simply speaking the words are placed on a non-white space.
If you have only outline of an image the words will be placed on outline only.

To place the words inside a shape you have to make it filled with a color in any image editing software like Photoshop or Paint.net
