Name or Word outside of outline

Hi, could anyone possibly help. I'm wishing to create an initial as the image. Then I would like to put a name and enlarge this so that part of it left and right appears outside of the outline. I have seen this has been done, but I have no idea how to do this. Many thanks! |

| You can enlarge a word and put it outside the shape outline in Edit mode. Please watch this tutorial that demonstrates how to do this. | |
